FOR IN A ROW...is what the Ansonia Tigers accomplished with a victory over Mississinawa Valley.
COVERAGE BY TIM KLONTZ
After a slow start on opening night in which Ansonia was shocked by Fort Recovery, the Tigers have reeled off four straight wins in impressive fashion.
Friday, in a backyard rivalry contest with Mississinawa Valley, Ansonia racked up 428 yards of total offense en route to a 35-6 victory.
Senior Eric Beisner led the way with 160 yards on 24 carries and three rushing touchdowns. He also scored on a 59-yard reception, had a drive-killing interception and recorded 3 catches for 99 yards.
It wasn't all Beisner, however.
Quarterback Chance Cox had a solid night by throwing for 99 yards on just four completions.
Ryan Fosnaugh recorded 81 yards on the ground, while Dylan Bubeck contributed with 57 rushing yards. Bubeck also scored a touchdown in the third quarter on a 2-yard run.
Mississinawa Valley had some success early in the game as Ryan Dickey connected with Nathan Brunk on a 16-yard touchdown strike in the first quarter.
But the 'Hawks could only manage 165 yards of offense as the Tiger defense stiffened and kept them out of the end zone the remainder of the evening.
Ansonia improves to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the CCC, while Mississinawa Valley drops to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
