WINNING ATTITUDE...is what the Miami East Vikings have developed while improving to 4-2 on the season.

The Vikings won easily Friday night 49-13 over the Railroaders. Big plays and hard running gave Miami East a 49-0 lead by halftime.

The Vikings had two players run for 100 yards. Sam Smallwood with 105 yards on 10 carries and Tyler Dunivan with 139 yards on 5 carries.

Miami East scored often in the first quarter starting with the opening kickoff. Sam Smallwood returned it 78 yards for touchdown and an early 7-0 lead. Smallwood ran for two more scores in the first quarter on runs of 2 and 17 yards. Then Houston Walker returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown.

Tyler Dunivan closed out the first quarter scoring with an 80 yard run to give the Vikings a 35-0 lead in the first quarter.

In the second quarter Miami East would strike two more times. First on a Smallwood 35 yard run for a touchdown. Then Dunivan scored on a 38 yard run to give the Vikings a 49-0 lead going into the half.
Bradford finally scored in the third quarter. First on a 17 yard pass from Tray Sanderson to Logan Dunlevy for touchdown. Then their last touchdown came on a 12 yard pass from Sanderson to Derek Harmon.

"It was nice to get everyone in the game tonight for some playing time," commented Viking coach Max Current. "We played well tonight, but we still have some things to work on. Next week we have a big game with South, which has improved a lot since last year. So, we will have to come prepared to play next week."

Next week the Vikings host Twin Valley South, while Bradford travels to Mississinawa Valley.
