ON THE LINE...Arcanum's offensive line paved the way against Tri-County North and looks to help knock off Miami East in week ten.

The Arcanum Trojans erupted for 20 second quarter points and crusied to a 35-6 victory over Tri-County North, Friday.

The host Panthers scored first on a 3-yard run by Matt DeHart in the first quarter. But the extra-point attempt failed, leaving the score 6-0 in favor of North.

It took the Trojan offense a while to get rolling, but once it did the Panthers didn't have an answer.

Held scoreless in the first quarter, Arcanum erupted for 20 points before the half as Brad Roethwell broke the ice with a 5-yard run.

Josh Stone followed with a 9-yard touchdown strike to Tim Heney to increase the margin to 12-6 as the conversion attempt failed.

Haney closed out the half with a 2-yard touchdown plunge and then Roethwell converted the two-point conversion run to push the Trojan lead to 20-6 at the half.

Arcanum put the game away in the third quarter with two more touchdowns.

The first came on a 2-yard run by A.J. Aikman. Stone connected through the air with Clint Hale for the two-point conversion to make the score 28-6.

The final damage was inflicted moments later as Haney converted another Trojan drive into a 1-yard score. Matt Woods converted on the point-after to make the final score 35-6.

The victory improves Arcanum's record to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the CCC, while Tri-County North drops to 2-7 and 2-6 in league play.

Arcanum looks to play spoiler next week as it hosts Miami East. A win by the Trojans would end any playoff hopes the Vikings have.
