The Ansonia Tigers rolled through the 2009 season unbeaten at 10-0 to claim the Cross County Conference Championship. Eugene Hoening was named "Coach of the Year", while Adam Hall was named "Lineman of the Year". The Tigers also placed a conference-high five players on the All-Conference Team.

Miami East finished second in the CCC and placed four performers on the All-Conference team, while Covington had three selected. The Buccs also had the "Back of the Year" in Garrett Clark, who rushed for 1305 yards and scored 25 touchdowns in the regular season.
