CCC TOURNAMENT...results landed the Lady Buccs of Covington and the Bees of Bethel at the top of the standings.

September 24, 2009 - WEBSTER
The Bethel boys finished with an unblemished 22-0 conference record and won the CCC Tournament to claim the Cross County Conference Championship.

Behind tournament medalist and "Player of the Year" Ralph Lauzze, Bethel held off runner-up Covington by four strokes, 348 to 352 to win the CCC Tournament. Bethel coach Bret Brookhart was also selected as "Coach of the Year".

For the girls, Covington captured the 2009 CCC Championship, holding off Miami East by just one stroke 406 to 407. The Lady Buccs were led by Sarah Westfall, who earned tournament medalist honors with Cassie Earnst of Tri-County North with a 92.

Earning "Player of the Year" honors was Kaela Hierholzer of Ansonia, while Ron Schultz of Covington was named "Coach of the Year" after leading his team to a 13-1 conference record and CCC Tournament Championship.
