CCC Track... Game of the Week... Athlete of the Week... Through the Lens...

All season long it was the play of the Booher, which set the tone for the success of the program. He consistently golfed in the mid to low 30's, including a 33.

For his performance this season Booher was chosen as the "Player of the Year" in the Cross County Conference. His selection was based on his scores throughout the season.

Heading into the CCC tournament this past week, Newton was a legitimate threat to capture the title. But, the Indians struggled with a team score of 355 to finish sixth in the event. This gave Newton a third place finish in the final CCC golf standings, denying them the first league golf title in school history.

Regardless of coming up short, what Booher and the Indian golfers had done over the course of the last month deserves to be recognized and applauded. For his leadership and consistent play, Booher is our choice for the "Athlete of the Week".
